Flu season in Western Australia
Flu season in Australia runs from April to October, with the peak between June and September. When someone catches influenza, recovery can stretch over two weeks. Booking a session
The online quote tool lets you enter your staff numbers and see pricing adjust in real time. You sign off online. We then send a booking form where you nominate your preferred dates, and we match those to nurse availability in the Perth CBD area.
Once confirmed, staff receive a booking link along with SMS reminders. We provide promotional material if you want to circulate it internally. Without prior uptake data, expect roughly 35% of your team to participate.
What happens on the day
The nurse arrives 10 to 15 minutes before the first appointment and sets up in a room you provide. Each vaccination takes about two minutes. The nurse works through approximately 30 to 32 people per hour, so a session for 60 staff takes around two hours.
A nurse immuniser hotline is also available if staff have questions about the vaccine, including potential side effects.
Records and reporting
All vaccinations are recorded with the Australian Immunisation Register. Staff who book online get a PDF vaccination certificate. You receive a participation report broken down by department, location or cost centre.
Employees who miss the on-site day can use a pharmacy voucher at one of 2,000+ partner pharmacies across Australia, at the employer’s expense.
