Workplace flu vaccinations across south-east Melbourne

From Clayton and Dandenong through to Mulgrave, Glen Waverley, Springvale and Cheltenham, south-east Melbourne has a mix of corporate offices, industrial parks and healthcare facilities. We send nurse immunisers to workplaces across all of these areas as part of our Melbourne flu vaccination service.

Why organise a workplace program

Flu season in Australia runs April to October, with the worst of it falling between June and September. Someone who catches influenza can be out for two weeks or more. In larger workplaces, the virus can move between staff over several weeks, compounding the disruption. A workplace vaccination program gives staff a convenient way to get protected without needing to take time out of their day.

For more background on how influenza spreads and what the vaccine does, see our influenza information page or the Australian Immunisation Handbook.

Getting started

Use the online quote tool to get pricing for your team size. Numbers are adjustable in real time. After signing online, you fill in a booking form with your preferred dates. We match those to nurse availability in south-east Melbourne.

Staff get a booking link and SMS reminders before the session. We provide promotional material for internal communications. If this is your first program, expect about 35% of staff to take up the offer.

On the day

The nurse arrives 10 to 15 minutes before the first appointment. You provide a quiet space with a table and chairs. Each vaccination takes roughly two minutes, so the nurse works through about 30 to 32 people per hour. For a team of 90, that is roughly three hours.

After the session

Every dose is recorded with the Australian Immunisation Register. Staff who booked online receive a PDF certificate. You get a participation report by department, location or cost centre. Employees who miss the day can use pharmacy vouchers at any of 2,000+ partner pharmacies, covered by the employer.

Suburbs we cover

Our south-east Melbourne coverage includes Clayton, Dandenong, Mulgrave, Glen Waverley, Springvale and Cheltenham, along with surrounding suburbs. For the full Melbourne service area, visit our Melbourne flu vaccination page or contact us to confirm availability.
